It’s About Time
For a long time I’ve received a lot of requests from Photographers asking me to do Photoshop retouching tutorials to show my workflow and techniques. Well, everyone, that day has finally come. I am so excited to teach and help others with the things I’ve learned over these past 7 years as a Photographer! When I first got into Photography, it wasn’t really the camera that got me excited. It was Photoshop *enter angelic music here*.
I have never done this type of thing before, so I wasn’t sure where to start. When I asked my followers what kind of tutorials I should do, you told me “everything”. First of all, that’s awesome and I will try my best to teach you “everything”. But it didn’t give me much direction in where to start. So I decided to begin with the basics. The first thing I do when editing a photo is retouch the Skin and Hair of my subject(s).
When I was first starting out, I used the clone stamp tool to edit skin….until I discovered the Patch Tool. This is is probably my favorite tool ever. It is magic. Or at least that’s what people say when they see me use it. Then about a year ago I discovered the Dodge and Burn technique and I thought, “where has this been all my life?!”. These two techniques are instrumental in my retouching process, if you’ve always wanted to learn how to properly retouch skin and hair, this video is for you.
